About the player. Age: Over 18. I will play with 16 and 17 year-olds if you write maturely. I've been roleplaying long enough to know that there are some fantastic young writers. No younger than 16, please! Experience: Five years of serious, detailed roleplay. More if you include the message board/chatroom phase. Medium: Threading. Style: Third-person storybook, past tense. As far as detail goes, I'm pretty adaptive and easy-going. I generally try to approximate my partners' length, but I'm sure there will be times when my posts are a little shorter or longer than yours. All I ask is that you be able to write two coherent paragraphs. Anything more than that is great too. Fade-to-black? Sometimes. I won't skip every sex scene. If you won't play them out at all, I'm probably not your girl, because I think they can be very important to the line, especially with a character who relates to the world so sexually. At the same time, I'm not here for porn, so I'll probably ask to fade some of the time. I prefer a balance. If the sex is momentous (first time together, cheating) or emotionally-driven (angry sex, hurt/comfort sex), I'll probably want to write it. If it's just another liaison that has no particular significance, we can write it for fun if we feel like it, or skip it if we don't. That doesn't mean it has to be incredibly graphic! Since character development is my main concern, I'll happily follow your lead on how vague/explicit the narrative is. With Chuck, I can't make any promises about the dialogue.
What I'm looking for. Genre: Gossip Girl (TV canon), exclusively. I get my fill of PB in communities. Who I play: Chuck, though I've played almost everyone at least once. Chuck is by far my best portrayal and I'd prefer to stick with him. Keep in mind that I play him very canon, not "misunderstood" or romanticized. He has his nice moments, but, for the most part, he's a major asshole. Even if you somehow get him into a committed relationship, he'll inevitably say or do something to hurt your character. He's Chuck Bass. Pairings: Chuck/Serena, Chuck/Jenny, or Chuck/Blair, though I'll warn you that I'm a little picky about C/B because I love them. I'd also consider other pairings like Chuck/Georgina and even Chuck/Lily, but I don't have any specific ideas written out for those. Themes: Drama, conflict, angst, manipulation, and betrayal. Plot is crucial to me. I like cute scenes, but they need to be offset by dramatic ones. Specific storylines can be found here, but I'm not limited to them. Communication: I can hop on AIM to plot if we're both around, but schedules often clash. For that reason, I do most of my OOC communication through discussion posts. There'll probably be times when I comment you mid-scene to ask a question about something in your post, and I'd rather do that quickly than wait hours or days until we're both on AIM. Anything else? Before you comment me, please ask yourself if you have the time, energy, and creativity to commit to a long-term line. Shit happens, delays occur, and all lines inevitably die, but there's unforeseen circumstances and there's knowingly taking on too much at once. I also really want to roleplay with people who have ideas and suggestions of their own. Be interested in contributing to the discussion and adding your own insight. My biggest RP frustration is trying to plot the twists and turns alone.
